Telemundo Global Studios (TGS) introduced the inaugural class of its TGS Fellowship Program, the first-ever premier professional development project for scripted content producers in Hispanic media.
The first-of-its-kind program is dedicated to ushering the next generation of Spanish-language scripted producers and attract and develop the most talented early-career producers, providing a comprehensive fast-paced scripted media immersion program that will create a dedicated pipeline of future producers at TGS.
The intensive 18-month long program will deliver a comprehensive curriculum providing a 360-degree immersion encompassing business development, production, and distribution of Spanish-language television.
“We are incredibly excited to kick-off the TGS Fellowship Program with a unique group of talented producers who have been carefully selected to benefit from this unique professional development experience. As the largest producer of Spanish-language scripted content in the US, we will provide these fellows with the absolute best education to usher the next generation of Spanish-language content creators,” said Fabrizio Alcobe, SVP of Talent at TGS.
TGS received nearly 400 applications from over 17 different countries. The selected fellows went through a rigorous interview process. Throughout the program, fellows will rotate into different TGS productions based on the needs of the business and each fellows’ interests. At the end of the program, fellows will have the opportunity to apply for full-time positions at Telemundo.
The inaugural fellows include: Manuel Arias, Erick Díaz, Néstor Duque, Lara Fernández, Lucio Mansilla, Valeria Martino, and Natalia Plazas.
