Telemundo Media announces new studio in Los Angeles: Fluency, to create multi-platform and bilingual content

Jacqueline Hernández, COO of Telemundo Media, announced the creation in Los Angeles of Fluency, a studio solely dedicated to the creation of multi-platform and bilingual content.She also indicated {Telemundo.com} continues to be the leading website where Hispanics spend the most time.Peter Blacker, executive VP of Telemundo Digital Media and Emerging Business, whose expertise has made Telemundo an online media leader, will head Fluency.The announcement was made at the upfront preview press conference led by Telemundo president Emilio Romano.Blacker spoke to PRODU and provided more details about Fluency. He indicated the studio’s first product would be ready this summer: La Buena Mala, an original 90-minute production that will be customized for tablets and mobile devices, and even for broadcast TV.“Fluency is a new concept for Telemundo Media. It’s our studio to create content for digital platforms. These are 90-minute productions that can be edited for several different digital platforms,” said Blacker.
