Telemundo Media appoints Efraín López to senior vice president of Strategy

Telemundo Media announced the appointment of veteran corporate executive Efraín López as senior vice president of Strategy, effective immediately. López will be based in Miami and report to Emilio Romano, president of Telemundo Media. In this newly-created role, López will be responsible for capitalizing on business opportunities, partnerships and market trends in Spanish-language media as a means to secure content and revenue growth that builds and enhances the brand. “Efrain’s breadth of experience encompasses growing some of the top Hispanic companies in the U.S. and Latin America and elevating their brands to new heights by creating innovative models for expanding revenue and content streams. His entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in forging new business models will be instrumental in continuing Telemundo Media’s leadership in the U.S. Spanish-language market,” said Emilio Romano, president, Telemundo Media. López brings to Telemundo Media more than 18 years of experience working at various investment banks negotiating mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business alliances and other strategic ventures in the media, entertainment, lifestyle and consumer sectors in USA, Spain, Latin America and Mexico.
