More investment for competition shows on Sundays and the first political thriller Prisionero ‘Número Uno are among the new bets that Luis Silberwasser, president of Telemundo Networks highlighted during the NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises Upfront press conference.
The new bet represents approximately 950 hours of programming.
Silberwasser confirmed superseries for the 10pm schedule, the third season of El Señor de Los Cielos, the new series Crime Boss, El Barón Rojo produced by Sony Pictures Television and La Reina del Sur 2 with Teresa Mendoza (Kate Del Castillo), who returns after a seven-year absence.
For 9pm the new season of Sin Seno Sí Hay Paraíso, Falsa Identidad and Telemundo’s first political thriller, Prisionero Número Uno, produced by Keshet International.
At 8pm, he announced Betty en Nueva York, a modern version of the hit Betty la Fea for the Hispanic audience. “I think the audience currently has expectations to see those characters that were so dear, such as Betty la Fea, to tell the story again to a new audience. New York is an ideal city to do it. It will be produced by Telemundo Studios with the collaboration of the writer Fernando Gaitán,” he explained.
For weekends, they will have the block of premium series and contest programs, like the first edition for US Hispanic of La Voz, Exatlón EE UU and the second season of MasterChef Latino.
