Telemundo San Francisco ({Telemundo Area de la Bahia;www.telemundoareadelabahia.com}) announced the appointment of Juan Miguel Muñiz as VP of News. In his new role, Muñiz will be responsible for managing the stations news operations including the planning and production of news. Muñiz will report directly to Erika Díaz, Station Manager.Muñiz joins Telemundo San Francisco from Telemundo Puerto Rico, where he served as VP of News since 2007. During his tenure at Telemundo Puerto Rico, Muñiz worked on managing both the editorial and administrative duties of the Islands top rated newscasts, including story assignments, staff scheduling, hiring, and evaluating workflow efficiencies. Earlier, Muñiz worked at CNN en Español as a producer and reporter from 1997-2004. He also supervised the operations of CNNEEs Los Angeles Bureau where he planned and executed news coverage for such events as the Oscars, the Grammys and Cannes Film Festival, among many others.I am thrilled to have Juan Miguel Muñiz join KSTS as VP of News, said Díaz.
