Starring Gabriel Porras, María Elisa Camargo, Luis Ernesto Franco and Julio Bracho, Bajo El Mismo Cielo is the story of Carlos Martínez (Porras), a relentless hard working Mexican immigrant who crosses the border illegally and settles with his family in Los Angeles, where he starts working as a landscaper. Carlos dreams of giving his children a better opportunity and strives to offer them the opportunities he never had in Mexico.Bajo El Mismo Cielo features a stellar cast that includes Erika De La Rosa, Alejandro Speitzer, Liz Gallardo, Mercedes Molto, Fernando Noriega, Kendra Santacruz, Ximena Ayala, Raul Arrieta, Keller Worthman, José Guillermo Cortines, Oka Guiner, Rosalinda Rodríguez, Andrés Zúñiga, Freddy Flores, Ahrid Hannaley, Alma Itzel, Kevin Aponte, among others. Bajo El Mismo Cielo is a Telemundo Studios production taped in Miami and Los Angeles, with a script by Perla Farías (¿Dónde Está Elisa?, Marido en Alquiler) and José Vicente Spataro. Joshua Mintz and Martha Godoy (El Señor de los Cielos, Señora Acero, La Patrona) serve as executive producers. The theme song of the telenovela comes from Mexican-American band Las Cafeteras, with La Bamba Rebelde, a fresh take on the traditional track that celebrates Chicano pride.
