Following the success of season one, which ranked as the #1 primetime series on Spanish-language television in its time slot, Telemundo announced the premiere of La Querida del Centauro, starring Humberto Zurita, Ludwika Paleta, Michel Brown and Sandra Echeverría, on Tuesday, May 2 at 10pm/9c.
La Querida del Centauro was filmed entirely in Mexico with a script by Lina Uribe (Más Sabe el Diablo) and Darío Vanegas (El Mariachi). The series is a Teleset and Sony production for Telemundo, directed by Mauricio Cruz (La Reina del Sur, Doña Bárbara) and Rodrigo Ugalde, with Andrés Santamaría (Doña Bárbara, El Clon) as executive producer.
The original series, shot in cinematic style, comes back to tie things up after the first season finale, when we last saw El Centauro.
Joining the cast this season is Sandra Echeverría (El Clon, Marina, Casa de mi Padre, Savages), marking her return to Telemundo since she starred on Relaciones Peligrosas (2012).
Echeverría will portray Ana, Cirujano’s daughter, whose goal is to find Centauro to avenge her father’s death. The cast also includes Michel Chauvet, Jaime del Águila, Pablo Abitia, Arantza Ruiz, Salvador Amaya, Jack Duarte, Iñaky Godoy, Ricardo Polanco and Horacio García Rojas
The new season revolves around the revenge planned by El Centauro (Zurita) against his ex-lover, Yolanda (Paleta) and Gerardo (Brown), the detective determined to bring him to justice, in a plot filled with adrenaline and suspense. Fueled by an obsession that knows no limits, el Centauro devotes all of his ingenuity and spite to punishing those who betrayed him, especially his ex-lover. Centauro, with the help of his son, begins to execute his plan for revenge, making everyone believe Yolanda has lost her mind.
