Telemundo´s music competition Yo Soy El Artista premieres Sunday September 14

Telemundo announced that the mega-reality show Yo Soy El Artista will premiere on Sunday, September 14th at 8pm.Hosted by international star Lucero, the reality show will air simultaneously in the U.S. on Telemundo and throughout Latin America on the cable networks E! and Telemundo Internacional. A select panel of celebrity judges, including Luis Fonsi, Olga Tañón, Mario Quintero Lara, Stephanie Himonidis ‘La Chiquibaby’ and Boris Izaguirre, along with 100 international social media influencers, will vote on contestants from around the country, who will have to sing, dance and demonstrate star quality and showmanship, in an intense 13-week competition, where the winner will be named the ultimate true “Artist.”International Latin music idol Juan Luis Guerra, winner of top industry awards, will be the special guest star during premiere night, bringing his music and unique flair to the stage of this innovative competition.From the more than 4,000 people that participated in auditions in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Orlando and Puerto Rico, only 120 contestants were preselected to travel to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida to take part in the competition, which will include three phases: Auditions, Selection and Galas. During the influencers stay in Orlando, Telemundo, in collaboration with Latin World Entertainment (LatinWE), will hold the first #YoSoyelInfluencer Summit, convening social media leaders, TV personalities and media experts from around the world to participate in two days of panels and sessions focused on new digital media trends and the rise of new talent in the world of digital media, as well as the evolution of original content in social platforms.Telemundo and Reset TV have partnered in the ownership, development, production and international distribution of Yo Soy el Artista, whose format is based on an original concept by the founders of Reset TV, Toni Cruz and Josep María Mainat, the creators of such successful entertainment formats as Crónicas Marcianas, Mira Quién Baila and Operación Triunfo.
