The passing of Roberto Gómez Bolaños Chespirito was felt not only by colleagues, but also by executives of his home for 30 years, Televisa. The company honored him with a religious service at its facilities, as well as a memorial in front of thousands of fans at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.Present at the service held at Plaza de las Estrellas in Televisa San Angel, were his children, wife, family, colleagues and company executives, including José Bastón, VP of Programming and Content, and Emilio Azcárraga, president of Grupo Televisa, who said Chespiritos work will live on in his memory.The Televisa family is grieving today. One of the most endearing and loved characters has left us. This not only saddens Mexico, but millions who witnessed his talent. We owe him bringing families together because he transcended multiple generations and will continue to do so because he made us see life in a simpler more innocent way. Were all children when we watch El Chavo, El Chapulín Colorado and all of his characters, said Azcárraga.He closed by saying: We can never thank you enough.
