After its launch on VOD through the VEO platform, Televisa presented the animated series El Chapulín Colorado (26×11’) for open TV, which launched on Sunday July 26th at 10am on El Canal de las Estrellas in Mexico, and it will be one of the strong aces of the company for Mipcom next October.”To have adhered to the work of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, his scripts and the essence of his character, offers us the guarantee that the animated El Chapulín Colorado will be a huge success, not only in Mexico, also in other countries in Latin America and in the Hispanic market in the US where it will arrive. It will also be presented in English in October during Mipcom, since we want to reach places where this Mexican hero is unknown”, commented Maca Rotter, general director of Televisa Consumers Products.Rotter highlighted that it is not necessary to tell the story of a character that was very successful in Mexico, “We think the content is powerful enough and its foundations are strong to introduce themselves. It is strong enough to transcend outside Latin America”.Executives from various companies, such as José Carlos García, EVP and producer at Ánima Estudios, animation company in charge of the production of the series; Jorge Arregui, president of Dubbing House, company responsible for the dubbing, and his workteam; as well as Jesús Guzmán, actor who lends his voice to the Chapulín, attended the presentation event.
