José Alberto “El Güero” Castro, producer of La Desalmada, broadcasted on Televisa’s Las Estrellas at 9:30 pm, reported a sustained daily average of four million in Total Viewers (P4 +), disregarding the premiere or the closure, which is traditionally high. “We are very happy with the result and the acceptance that people have given us,” he said, after informing that they are working on the filming closure of the 82-part novel.
For Castro, this success is the result, not only of the quality of the story and the script but also because of the channel’s programming and the good audience numbers of previous programs. Thus, on Monday, August 9 – for example – La Rosa de Guadalupe reached 3 million 493 thousand viewers; Vencer el Pasado, 3 million 617 thousand, and La Desalmada, 3 million 785 thousand. “This has to do with the teamwork throughout the channel because it has been increasing its audience since 4pm. I am very grateful to Vencer el Pasado for its audience that favors me, and also to La Rosa de Guadalupe, which left a very good carry. This work allows the channel to grow”, he said, adding that, although he expected La Desalmada to be a success, he did not expect such large numbers.
In the target P19-44 of Monday, August 9, La Desalmada reached 954 thousand viewers; Vencer el Pasado, 905 thousand, and La Rosa de Guadalupe, 755 thousand.
Castro highlighted that the couple of Livia and José Ron, the Kimberly triangle -Gonzalo García Vivanco and Ron-, and the relationship between Eduardo Santamarina, Marlene Favela, and Marjorie De Sousa, have worked very well in the novel.
The production has been on the air for a month, and its audience has been growing, ranging from 3 million 600 to 4 million, when usually at that schedule, there have been productions with 2 million in Total Viewers.
