Televisa will launch on June 13 at 9:30pm on Las Estrellas, its new telenovela Mujer de Nadie (remake of Amarte es mi Pecado), produced by Giselle González, who said it is the first time she makes a traditional melodrama, after producing more realistic contents.
“This story is a huge challenge because making a traditional melodrama is something I had never done. I always focused on crime and suspense. Now we have a different type of language, another storytelling, and I´m learning an entirely new thing. In addition, these are stories to be presented in primetime” she explained.
González assured that being an adaptation, they are seeking to preserve the essence of the product: “This is a woman who suffers from abuse, she is about to be raped and all those topics we listen about daily regarding women, and which we continue struggling to eradicate. She decides to take revenge into her own hands when she sees she is not protected by justice”.
She mentioned there will be 45 hours on the air, with shootings from March to June, shot with two production lines and 100% of locations in en Puebla, Hidalgo, and CDMX, “we want to take care of the quality of the projects we make in the company and that is why we managed to gather a great production team”.
Finally, the producer gave her opinion on the opportunities that are opening up for production companies with mergers such as TelevisaUnivision, since “Many of us are eager to see other types of contents and are seeking them in existing platforms and this is an additional option as an audience and a competition in the media. We have contents that could be taken to the screen by adapting them with a series-like structure, which I think is marvelous and that the audience looks for more”.
The telenovela stars Marcus Ornellas and Livia Brito, together with Cynthia Klitbo, Azela Robinson, Arap Bethke, María Penella, Carmen Aub, Plutarco Haza, and Rosa María Bianchi, among others.
