With a religious service at its San Angel studios, Televisa kicked off production of the second season of the series María de todos los Ángeles. Produced by Pedro Ortiz de Pinedo, this season comes four years after the series original premiere.Its a comedic series most Mexicans like and are anxiously awaiting it. Im grateful to be able to make a small contribution to a well-orchestrated production that has yielded extraordinary results, said Ortiz de Pinedo.The story, written by its own protagonist, Mara Escalante, will feature 19 episodes. It is scheduled to wrap up production in November and will replace on-air the show Durmiendo con mi jefe.The series stars Mara Escalante and Ariel Miramontes, and will feature some cast alterations. One is the elimination of the character played by actor Evelio con V, who died in 2008. Similarly, the character played by the late Carlos Cobos, will now be played by Pedro Romo.María de todos los Ángeles will premiere August 18th on Televisas Canal de las Estrellas, and will be broadcast in its comedy block.
