André Barren, executive producer and co-creator of Televisa‘a Lorenza, Bebé a Bordo, assured that Mexico and the company are going through a resurgence of comedy. The genre is additionally, very noble, he added, because the audience can see it several times and laugh again, so it is also a very profitable project.
Lorenza, Bebé a Bordo, which is one of the new projects that were presented in the event Televisa la Casa de la Comedia, where new seasons and new humor projects were launched for the comedy bar on Las Estrellas, was premiered on Friday, March 22 at 11pm.
“Lorenza tells the complications of an instantaneous mother, who suddenly has to care for a baby,” he stated. The producer said that, together with Bárbara Torres, protagonist, they created the series, born in a workshop in Televisa, then, they shut a demo and later a pilot, and after that, the approved the development of the series that had 13, half-hour episodes.
“The most important thing about making comedy is having common sense, not thinking that what you like is going to be successful. You have to think about what the audience wants to watch. With so much information, it is a challenge to keep people interested, but I think we did a good job with the writers” said Barren. The head writer of the project is Jürgan Jacobo, together with a team of three writers.
For his part, Jorge Párraga, associate producer, explains that in post production the details of the plane where a great deal of the story takes place were revealed.
