Televisa is in the script stage in the 21-episode series on the life of the Mexican idol Pedro Infante, produced by Rubén Galindo, which still has no launching date.
“There are more than más 400 songs, 100 films, millions of photos and five museums throughout the Mexican Republic that speak of Pedro Infante, and we will leverage on that to make the series of the great exponent of ‘Mexicanism’,” explained the producer, who presented the reality show Pequeños Gigantes, to be launched on February 25 at 9pm on Las Estrellas.
The producer announced that the Infante family is involved in the creative process of the series, through interviews and information that will help develop the project. He highlighted that Warner Music will grant the rights to the music at lower costs.
“It is a huge commitment to talk about him and pay such a big tribute to him, we are very proud. Each project is an opportunity to grow and we are going to capitalize on that. It will be a series that makes the most of all we learned with Hoy Voy a Cambiar. It is important for series to be intense. The shorter they are, the more they will be,” he expressed.
Regarding Pequeños Gigantes, he explained that for the first time, Univision will broadcast simultaneously the Mexican version in the US, after the hit of the previous editions on this screen.
