With a scene between the main characters, Esmeralda Pimentel and Juan Diego Covarrubias, the producer 3Lucero Suárez began shooting in the San Juan Evangelista church in Mexico city, her new telenovela for Televisa, La Vecina (125×60’), Mexican adaptation of Solamente Vos, produced by Polka in 2013 for Argentina’s El Trece. In an interview with PRODU, Suárez mentioned that this production is half adaptation and half original of a story written by her and Edwin Valencia. Carmen Sepúlveda and Luis Reinoso are responsible for the script.”This is a story of a young man who is sent to a city in the countryside. He is very strict with himself, he falls in love with his neighbor who is exactly the opposite of what he imagined having in his life. It has traces of comedy and a lot of love, and here we also cover the topic of gasoline theft. It is a script worth taking to Mexican TV, and is nurtured by an original script we already had”, he commented. He said that La Vecina will start being aired in Mexico on May 25th at 6:15pm, a schedule “I am very used to and in which I feel very comfortable. As a producer you generate content with no concern over the schedule it will be aired on. What matters is the quality of the job.”To finalize, he assured that 60% of the shooting will be carried out in different locations in Mexico City, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Ajusco, Celaya, and the State of Mexico.
