Televisa’s La Jefa del Campeón debuts Tuesday, July 10 at 9pm ET/8pm CT on UniMás. La Jefa del Campeón is a moving story of a mother who will do whatever it takes to help her son’s dream of becoming a professional soccer player come true.
Produced by Roberto Gómez Fernández and starring renowned actress África Zavala (La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo) and talented actor Carlos Ferro (Caer en Tentación), La Jefa del Campeón will air Monday through Friday at 9pm.
This inspiring story focuses on Tita Menchaca, a mother of humble origin who is bound and determined to make sure her children get ahead. After her husband abandons her, she must leave her hometown and move to the capital. Tita will fight tooth and nail to help her son become the nation’s top soccer player and will find love when she meets a former soccer star who agrees to coach her son.
