TelevisaUnivision screens simultaneously on Univisión USA (8pm) and on Televisa Mexico’s Canal de las Estrellas (9pm), from Sunday the 19th, the talent show Mi Famoso y Yo, where six children 5 to 6 years old will be paired with six celebrities to fulfill their dreams.
“It is a wonderful adventure of six children that took us six-month to search and, after casting more than five thousand children, we found these five- to six-year-old protagonists, each with a dream that by themselves would not have been able to come true,” explained Marcelo Strupini, Executive Producer and Format Manager for TelevisaUnivision during a press conference.
Strupini explained that Mi Famoso y Yo will take place in three locations: a “spectacular” set in Televisa studios in Mexico, a house where the children will live together, and outdoors in Mexico and the US, since the celebrities will be touring to learn firsthand about the stories of the participating children.
The show of eight episodes includes singing, dancing, lyp sync, speech, imitation and acting competitions.
Julión Álvarez, Timberly Loaiza and Gabriel Soto will be the reality show judges. The hosts are Adal Ramones, who returns to the Televisa screen, and Alejandra Espinoza. The six celebrities who will pair up with the kids are Cecilia Galliano, Edwin Luna, Lambda García, Laura León, Diego Schoening and Mariana Echeverría.
Strupini thanked Andrea Marulanda, who leads the Entertainment area at TelevisaUnivision and the co-creators of the show, Rubén Galindo and Mariana Vargas. He also highlighted the production work of Miguel Batz and Karina Herrera.
