The Cable Show 2013, the U.S. cable industry’s premier national event, starts this Monday June 10 thru Wednesday June 12, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This year slogan is Worlds Ahead.Sponsored by Arris and hosted by NCTA, on Monday June 10 (between 8 and 9am), there will be the Latin America breakfast event entitled “The Challenges of Creating a Whole Home Experience for Customers: The View from Latin America”. Also the first General Session of The Cable Show will be “Where We Go from Here: Digital Media’s Great Big Picture” on Monday, June 10, (10-11:20am).The Cable Show 2013’s trio of General Sessions starts off big, with candid, unscripted and insightful conversations involving some of the leading strategists from the worlds of media and communications. The attendees will hear some of the world’s most influential innovators from television, digital media, broadband communications and the investment community share insights about the impact of digital technologies on their businesses – and on the world.The co-chairs Pat Esser (Cox Communications) and Abbe Raven (A+E Networks) along with Michael Powell (NCTA) will welcome the audience to this year event.The segment one host will be Jake Tapper (CNN) and the panelists are Jim Bankoff (Vox Media), Hosain Rahman (Jawbone), Ali Rowghani (Twitter, Inc.), Tom Rutledge (Charter Communications), and Steve Shannon (Roku). The segment two host is Cynthia Littleton (Variety) and the panelists are Matthew Blank (Showtime Networks), Joshua Sapan (AMC Networks Inc.), and Anne Sweeney (The Walt Disney Company).In addition to the three General Sessions, The Cable Show 2013 will feature 35 sessions in the educational track, 12 sessions in Imagine Park, and three breakfasts on international developments.
