César Millán, host of The Dog Whisperer and El Lider de la Manada
César Millán received a Latinovator award at the Hispanicize 2012 event, which was held between April 10 and 13 in Miami. Millan is the host of Nat Geos The Dog Whisperer and El Lider de la Manada which is on its second season, being produced by Powwow Media Partners for Nat Geo Wild. PRODU spoke with Millán about the importance of the Hispanic market, and about his new show El Líder de la Manada. Millán emphasized that The Dog Whisperer was an opportunity to show the general market how a Latino can present new ideas, and in this case, help the relationship between an owner and its pet. Its a beautiful experience to know that there are ways of arriving at that form of thinking or being when there arent many chances for new ideas. The Latino has a lot of ideas and wed like to better where we are. For me, the opportunity came with bettering the relationship between dog and human. Milláns new venture, El Líder de la Manada, was produced totally in Spanish in Spain and is now preparing for its second season, he said. Its about three families that want to adopt a dog. We rehabilitate the dog and then find a right family for it he said.
