The stars of La Bella y Las Bestias, Esmeralda Pimentel, and Osvaldo Benavides shared their expectations with the launch of the series in Mexico on Televisa´s Canal 5. In its first episodes, it has remained as the second fiction of the ranking at 10:30pm.
“Televisa wants to make a clear division of telenovelas for Canal 2 (Las Estrellas) and in Canal 5 recover this space where the audience watched films and series. It is a great moment for original series from Mexico and La Bella y Las Bestias comes right after Reto 4 Elementos, that has had a good audience, for people to continue engaged with a similar theme: action and risk,” stated Pimentel.
Regarding her character, she explained that it starts with her parent´s murder and returns a few years later, thirsty for revenge. She runs into Juan Pablo Quintero (Osvaldo Benavides), the child of the corruption network that murdered Isabela´s parents.
“W Studios and Lemon Studios have made a good partnership and it reflects in the quality, with a more “series-like” touch in what they do. The theme of La Bella y Las Bestias is original and the aesthetics are innovative,” said Benavides.
The actor also stars in El Rey del Valle, from Claro Video and Sony Pictures Television Latin America, that will be available from Thursday, August 23 on the platform. They also co-produce Donde Los Mundos Colapsan, a theater play that is currently on the Mexican billboard. Meanwhile, Pimentel is preparing her debut in production with a short film.
