“We are thrilled to celebrate with Mezzo its 25th anniversary. Last year Mezzo entered Brazil on Claro with great results, offering a spectacular library of 1,000 titles, or some 1,500 hours of artistic programs and live shows, updated and carefully curated every month. We have great expectations for this beautiful channel, which is widely recognized worldwide, and we hope that very soon it will reach millions more homes throughout Latin America,” said Francheska León de la Barra, VP of Marketing and Communications at Thema America.
Mezzo Live was born on March 21,1998 and is recognized for its shows featuring great musicians, new stars, recitals, operas, symphonies, sacred music, and a liturgical and jazz repertoire, as well as classical ballet, flamenco, and contemporary dance. It is broadcast in more than 80 territories, reaching more than 60 million homes around the world, and is free of commercials.
The channel acquires each year the rights to broadcast new operas, concerts, classical ballet, and festivals. In addition, it’s constantly forming strategic alliances with musicians and institutions, in order to present the best and latest music programs, including live broadcasts, where audiences can enjoy all the excitement of live events. In Latin America, the channel is available as Mezzo Live and VOD.
