The agency and producer of digital talent Trendsetters will launch a streaming channel in Mexico on Tuesday 22nd, as part of Trendsetter Studios, which already has two business units: Trendsetters Music, which accompanies, produces, and distributes the musical career of some talents from the agency, and Trendsetters Theatrical, which this year launched two of the most successful children’s plays in Argentina during the winter break.
The channel, the first of its kind in Mexico, will launch with four weekly programs: Soy Fan, 4 x 4, Frida Sin Filtro, and Al Fuego. It is available on YouTube and Spotify and with great scope on social networks.
Hosted by Jorge Blanco, Jerry Velazquez, and Stephie Caire, Soy Fan will deal with the different fandoms, fans of series, movies, and sagas, including Harry Potter, Taylor Swift, Friends, and Pokemon, among others.
In 4 x 4, Antonio Betancourt and Liza Baez conduct interviews with four guests about a particular subject.
Conducted by Frida Urbina, Frida Sin Filtro will address topics related to women without taboos and filters.
Al Fuego, hosted by Amy Rey and Emmanuel Senties, will talk about different kinds of human relationships from the perspective of a woman and a man.
Trendsetter Studio supports technology from any linear TV channel and the production team is made up of people who come from open TV on leading channels such as Telefe.
Manuela Arnedo, CEO of Trendsetters, told PRODU that the idea is to add programs from other countries and take advantage of the agency’s talent in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, allowing them to put together productions quickly.
“This is a market opportunity we want to leverage, as we did ten years ago when Trendsetters began to represent influencers, not models and actors. And that is our great differential, we are constantly looking for new business models, redefining ourselves and innovating,” she explained.
Trendsetters Studio produced its first film, Cancelados, written and directed by Maxi Gutiérrez and starring renowned influencers represented by the agency. It is about a group of influencers who have all their accounts canceled and the ordeals that this means to them.
Regarding fiction series, they have no plans for now, but they do not rule it out for 2024.
