TV Azteca Digital announced that they will take some of their content to audio on-demand format through the podcasts of La Resolana en Comedia, MasterChef en Cocina, Ritual in sports, El Atole and Cortando la Baraja in news, and Corazón Grupero in music.
“Podcasts allow people to listen to conversations they want to be part of and we offer them through a varied and flexible format with their favorite talent” stated Emilio Aliaga, VP of TV Azteca Digital.
TV Azteca already has La Resolana Sin Censura, with Carlos “El Capi” Pérez, together with Fer Gay and Fran Hevia, that it is the only podcast of a TV station positioned in the top 10 in the comedy category and it is recognized by Spotify as one of the best in 2020, with over 3.2 million.
For the first time, the international MasterChef franchise will have a podcast. It will be an alliance between the production company Endemol Shine Boomdog and TV Azteca, with Ricardo O’Farrill. In addition, they will have Corazón grupero: El Expediente, El Atole, Cortando la Baraja, and El Ritual.
By 2022, podcasts will reach 32 million listeners in Mexico, becoming one of the main digital channels in the country: “TV Azteca sets the tone to establish itself as an avant-garde benchmark, now also in audio” expressed the company in a statement.
