La Hija Pródiga (80×60’) is the second of the three original productions that TV Azteca will develop to close 2017, assured Joshua Mintz, deputy to the presidency and Fiction director of the Company, who led on Monday August 28 the official first clapperboard that signaled the start of shootings in the Azteca Novelas premises. It is expected to be on the air by the end of October and beginning of November.
“It is an original story that took us three years to begin producing. It is a joint work together with the writer José Ignacio Valenzuela, that gives continuity to the production of original projects. This is a sign of the importance original production has and a bet for us to be the owners of our intellectual property,” mentioned Mintz.
According to the producer Alicia Carvajal, even though it is a short format, “it maintains the classic melodrama, but with other elements such as mystery, that make it more attractive. Meanwhile, the modern manufacturing we have used renders it internationally competitive,” she highlighted.
Starring Isabel Burr, Christian de la Campa and Andrea Martí, this story is a drama with touches of mystery, that starts when one of the two daughters of the Montejo is kidnapped and appears 20 years later to modify the family´s life.
Ana Celia Urquidi is the executive producer of La Hija Pródiga. Salvador Aguirre, and Pablo Gómez are Stage directors; Rafael Acosta and Gerardo Saucedo, directors of Photography.
