AZ Cinema, an AZ TV de Paga signal that reaches more than 25 countries, is preparing new original productions, one of them is Espacio Shorts México (13×60’), in alliance with the Shorts México short film festival. The program is produced by the filmmaker Rafael Lara and will be aired the first days of 2018.
“It is the first time we made an alliance with this festival and the first time the filmmaker Rafael Lara works for TV Azteca. The content is centered on presenting the best short films, taken from this encounter. Our guests will be the creators of the short films, who will talk about their projects,” commented Adriana Bustos, director of the Production area of TV Azteca Internacional.
Bustos mentioned that they are already shooting the 13 episodes that will be ready in December and air on the first days of 2018. A film actor will be the main host. This will be one of the original projects the signal will have to start next year. He highlighted that it is the first time that the filmmaker Rafael Lara makes a production for TV Azteca. Before this project, he made the film El Tamaño Sí Importa (Size Does Matter).
Together with this production, AZ Cinema is preparing its first reality called 4×4, in which four teams, lead by influencers, have to make a short film, with only 24 hours to complete each process (casting, script, locations, and production). It will be ready to debut in 2018.
