TV Dominicana acquires rights for Liga Nacional de Baloncesto 2011

Televisión Dominicana announced the acquisition of the rights for the Dominican Republic’s 2011 Liga Nacional de Baloncesto (National Basketball League), which tipped off last Tuesday, July 12th with the match between Cañeros and Leones.“We continue reaching the goals set at the beginning of the year, offering all sports fans exclusive live coverage of the best games of such an important discipline for the Dominican community in the U.S.,” said Marta Turón, general manager of Televisión Dominicana. TV Dominicana will broadcast two live games every week and will offer complete coverage of the playoffs and finals.The Liga de Baloncesto Nacional is composed of eight teams, which are divided into two conferences. Among the top teams are Cañeros de La Romana, the current champion; Tiburones de Puerto Plata, the runners-up; as well as Titanes, Cocolos, Indios, Metros de Santiago, Reales de la Vega, and Leones.
