Una Maid en Manhattan is Telemundo Studios’ 18th project in Miami

Telemundo Media premiered Una Maid en Manhattan this Tuesday 29th at 8pm. It is the third co-production with Sony Pictures (SPT), and the 18th project produced at Telemundo Studios in Miami since it was established in 2003.During the premiere at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Aurelio Valcárcel, EVP of Telemundo Studios and Joshua Mintz, senior EVP of Telemundo Entertainment, underscored the importance of the partnership with SPT and the adaptation of the original story by screenwriter Luis Zelkowics. Carlos Lamus, executive director of Production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic of SPT, works with Telemundo to oversee scriptwriting and production on behalf of Sony.The cast of the telenovela, led by Litzy Domínguez and Eugenio Siller, walked the red carpet at the event.“Una Maid en Manhattan is one of three projects the company is producing in Miami. We are a job source for an important number of professionals and talent. I don’t believe anyone has produced more than us here,” said Mintz at the event.“Recreating New York in Miami was a big challenge. We built a set to reproduce some parts of New York. The neighborhood of Queens is set up around an entire block where we are trying to recreate some special places,” said Valcárcel.The novela is based on the movie Maid in Manhattan, produced by Revolution Studios and distributed by SPT. The story is adapted by Luis Zelkowics. The executive producer is Aurelio Valcárcel-Carrol, directed by Nicolás de Blassi and Jaime Segura, and the general producer is Mariana Iskandarani.The novela theme song entitled Amor Sin Fin was composed by Eugenio Siller and is interpreted by Siller and Litzy.
