Univision Communications and DIRECTV sign comprehensive multi-year agreement

Univision Communications Inc. signed a comprehensive multi-year agreement with satellite provider, DIRECTV. The agreement includes carriage of Univision’s owned and operated broadcast stations, as well as the network feeds for Univision and UniMás, and the Spanish-language cable network, Galavisión.In addition, DIRECTV will launch Univision Deportes Network, Univision tlnovelas, and ForoTV. DIRECTV customers will also have access to thousands of hours of Univision’s best content anywhere, anytime on their PC, tablet or mobile device, through the DIRECTV Everywhere platform and UVideos, the bilingual digital network for Hispanic America.“Our Spanish-language customers have been anticipating the launch of these new channels and we are excited to provide them with even more of Univision’s quality programming lineup.
