Venevision Productions kicks off production of Sangre En El Diván and inaugurates its new studios

Venevision and Univision Communications executives with the cast celebrated the start of production

Venevision Productions kicked off production of its new series Sangre En El Diván at the new state-of-the-art Venevision Studios in Miami. Executives from Venevision and Univision Communications attended the event and were joined by members of the cast, headed by Lorena Rojas, Sebastián Ligarde, Gabriel Valenzuela, María Fernanda Yépez, Marcela Mar, and Carlos Mata.The event also marked the inauguration of the new studios, built exclusively for the production of Sangre En El Diván.“With our great client and partner, Univision, we’ve put together a world-class production team to guarantee not just the quality and integrity of the story and its production, but also to capture this talented cast at its best. Our goal is to create a series that stands out for its creativity and originality, while keeping the most important elements of Ibéyise Pacheco’s bestseller Sangre En El Diván,” said Juan Carlos Sosa, EVP of Operations of Venevision Studios.Abraham Pulido is the series’ general director; Carlos Lamus is the general producer; Mercedes Guzmán is the Art director; and Marlon Quintero will work as consultant.The 60-episode series is based on the book by the same name written by Ibéyise Pacheco. It tells the story of the late Venezuelan psychiatrist Edmundo Chirinos, who was convicted of murder. The cast also includes Lance Dos Ramos, Thamara Aguilar, Natasha Domínguez, Sol Rodríguez, and Carolina Ayala.
