With a full auditórium with more than 250 people, Viacom Internacional Media Networks Americas, officially presented Viacom International Studios (VIS), its división for the development, production, and distribution of the global content portfolio, together with the new programming selection that is already being developed.
Guillermo Borensztein, Content and Co-Production Sales VP said: “We are betting on investments, it is no longer a matter of enjoying a game alone, we want to produce with more players. With this new structure, we want to have more than 1,000 hours of original content to distribute from Latin America to the world”.
Other novelties are that they will produce for third parties and in the term of two years, they will venture into content in English. “We want to be leaders in creation, development, production, and distribution of contents,” adds Guillermo.
The programming novelties they presented include 100 Días Para Enamorarse, Telefe’s new romantic comedy, that is a hit in Argentina with an average share of 50% since its launch. The dramatic comedy R, opera prima in series by Ariel Winograd. Mamá Se Fue de Viaje, Los Internacionales, based on the best-seller “La Conexión Bogotá”, will be produced together with Media Pro. It will have a cast from Colombia, Spain, and Argentina, starring Juan Pablo Shuk and Cecilia Roth.
Additionally, they presented Animal, the first film distributed by VIS, directed by Armando Bo starring Guillermo Francella.
