ViacomCBS Cono Sur held its Upfront 2022 in Argentina, under the concept of The Power of Experience, and with an attendance of more than 350 of its partners. Santiago del Moro hosted the event

Darío Turovelzky, general director of ViacomCBS Cono Sur & SVP Global Contents, reviewed the 2021 achievements: the launch of Paramount +, the 54 million users that Pluto TV reached globally, Telefe breaking records with the highest TV share in Argentina, and the arrival of Chilevisión to the ViacomCBS ecosystem. In fact, Juan Ignacio Vicente, VP and executive director of the Chilean channel attended the event.

Turovelzky also referred to the company’s potential for 2022. “We took risks with new proposals, we changed our mindset to become digital-first, focusing on the company’s digital transformation, with streaming platforms and landing in the gaming industry, with esports and soon entering the NFT (non-fungible tokens) and betting markets.”

In addition, he highlighted Pluto TV growth, which reached 100 channels in Latin America. And, through a video call with Marley, the senior executive showed how simple it is to create an exclusive channel, using Por el Mundo as an example.

The presenters Iván de Pineda, Verónica Lozano, and Gastón Dalmau were invited to highlight the novelties in the digital world, from the use of augmented reality, a tool with great potential for advertising and also the renewal of Mi Telefe. All the content of the ViacomCBS digital ecosystem is available in Mi Telefe, including the Paramount+ and Pluto TV platforms. The new esports content, the e-commerce section, and even the chefs’ recipes will also be available. In addition, Mi Telefe will continue to interact with the audience, just as it did with the votes for La Voz Argentina.
