VIP 2000 TV is presenting at MIP Cancun Amores Que Engañan 1, a co-production of Lifetime and Yahayra Films that will have its second part in 2023. Roxana Rotundo, CEO of the company, indicated that the production of the first Christmas movies made in Spanish in Latin America has just been completed and that Amor en Navidad will be released in two weeks in Latin America by Lifetime and in the US by #Vamos por M+.
VIP 2000, founded 15 years ago, has been one of the first distributors to extend its business and also cover production. “We are divided into 50% of original productions and 50% of our catalog that we sell in Latin America and the US. But the future is co-production and original productions, that is why we have embarked strongly on that for a few years,” Rotundo explained.
She also commented that the relationship with the platforms is very good but that the core of their business continues to be broadcast and pay TV. “Open TV in Latin America is more alive than ever and I have concentrated on searching for content for that screen because I think it has a lot of time left,” she said.
