VIX has acquired a Spanish-language US license for the successful Argentinian thriller La Chica Que Limpia filmed in the province of Córdoba.
The free streaming of La Chica Que Limpia arrives in the United States thanks to the alliance between VIX and the content distributor RMVISTAR.
“I can’t wait for the viewer’s reaction to the many twists and turns of La Chica Que Limpia. It’s an honor to be able to bring this great production to free streaming audiences in the US for the first time,” said Rick Rodríguez, Head of OTT Content & Content Operations at VIX.
“With its deeply personal storylines and richly drawn characters, RMVISTAR is thrilled to see VIX bring this highly original and compelling series to Latino viewers across the U.S.,” remarked Rose Marie Vega, founder, and president of RMVISTAR.
Vega saw the global potential in the original Spanish-language series La Chica Que Limpia and brought the format to The Gersh Agency and Warner Bros. Television (WBTV), leading to the format being readied as The Cleaning Lady, an English-language pilot for series at FOX Network.
“We are very happy with this deal with VIX, that will expand LCQL’s footprint in the US Hispanic market through this fast-growing platform. Jaque Content’s strategy is to make content from Latin America available globally. With our offices in Mexico and Argentina we have been developing content for global audiences” said Paola Suárez, VP Development, and Production at Jaque Content.
La Chica que Limpia was written and created Lucas Combina, Irene Gissara, Greta Molas and Jaque Content, produced by Jaque Content.
