Doris Vogelmann, Vme Media: 2023 was a year of betting on our distribution model but exploring other options and the best way to be part of it efficiently

Reflecting on 2023, Doris Vogelmann, Programming and Operations VP at Vme Media Inc. expressed that it has been a year of changes and lessons in the industry. “The merger of companies has created larger companies with greater power in the scope of distribution and their digital offer. The proliferation of FAST channels that is so fashionable has created a situation in which finding or ‘discovering’ these channels has become a significant challenge that the industry still does not know how to solve. For Vme it has been a year of betting on our distribution model but exploring other options and the best way to be part of it efficiently” she said.

Volgelmann highlighted that for 2024 they will continue to bet on the balance between original production and acquisitions. “We will continue looking for products that reflect who we are, while we bring to the audience the best of international production. At a more local level, we are going to continue looking for stories and topics that are relevant to the Latina community in the US and that allow us to be a part of their family. Our original productions include new seasons of Vivir Vale La Pena and Reflexiones con Maytte, which have been very well received by our viewers” she pointed out.
