Patricio Wills, president of W Studios, was interviewed Richard Izarra on VIVO, from the offices in Miami, to talk about the new concession of Canal Uno in Colombia.
“I am very pleased to have managed to obtain the concession, together with Daniel Coronell and Yamid Amat, great news men in Colombia; and with the international entrepreneurs Alan Sokol and Jim McNamara”, all part of Plural Comunicaciones, the partnership that will operate the Colombian channel.
Wills pointed out that his vocation is to produce. “As a producer that I will continue to be, what I see with this channel is that it is a window for the products we make in this company. My job is here, producing”.
He is currently shooting two series in Mexico: La Piloto and Las Buchonas (with Lemon Films) and they are developing other projects, two of which are with Televisa, including the original series for television El Último Dragón, by the writer Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
The executive pointed out that Canal Uno will have a new name, a new graphic identity and new contents.
“As RTI Colombia and W Studios we are proud to have achieved a place in open TV in Colombia after so many attempts”.
