After becoming the winner of the reality show La Casa de los Famosos Mexico, produced by EndemolShine Boomdog for TelevisaUnivision and ViX, Wendy Guevara has managed to go beyond social networks (her native platform) to become a multi-screen phenomenon. The streaming platform launched the program Wendy, Perdida pero Famosa, featuring the influencer’s day-to-day life since she became a winner.
During the presentation of the new reality show, Guevara paraded along with her special guests on the pink carpet, and there she talked about how La Casa de los Famosos Mexico changed her life and career.
“When La Casa de los Famosos Mexico ended, everything was difficult and impactful; we didn’t know what was happening out there. From the numbers we saw, we realized that people began to watch TV again and we managed to get families together.” It is worth highlighting that more than 21 million people watched this content on TV broadcast on Las Estrellas, in addition to more than 5 million hours consumed on ViX and 40 million digital votes cast on the grand finale.
“I never imagined that ViX would offer me such a nice project as Perdida pero Famosa. I grew up watching telenovelas and TelevisaUnivision programs, and I never imagined seeing myself on the screens,” she commented.
Known as one of Las Perdidas, the content creator highlighted that this first season is very intimate, where you can see her origins, where she was born, where she comes from, her family, and friends. However, she said it was not easy. “It is a lot of work and stress, so it would be nice for a second season to show more of me. I appreciate the opportunity they gave to a transsexual girl like me.”
Regarding her next projects, she said that for 2023, she has more than 36 dates of live shows in different cities in Mexico and Latin America, and for 2024, a tour in the US. In addition, she has several projects on the table with TelevisaUnivision, which has exclusivity for two years. She also made clear that she will not be participating in Juan Osorio’s new telenovela. “To do something like that, I must be prepared, and I am not, but if he invites me to do some episodes, of course, I will accept.”
“When I entered the world of TV, I realized that there are many wonderful people and, in my case, TelevisaUnivision has treated me very well, it has given me a hand, and if there are more opportunities, I will be there,” she concluded.
Before the end of the event, and before the party where the famous “perdida” shared with her family, friends, and special guests, she was awarded the YouTube button for exceeding one million subscribers on her channel @soywendyguevara.
Wendy, Perdida Pero Famosa has been available on ViX since October 5th. With 13 episodes, one per week, it offers an exclusive glimpse into the life of this influencer, from her beginnings, her relationship with her closest friends, family members, and the “hell team” that conquered the audience of La Casa de los Famosos Mexico.
It is worth remembering that Wendy won the reality show with more than 18 million votes and made history by becoming the first transgender woman to win a format like this.
