La Reina del Flow, an original series from Caracol TV in Colombia, will be adapted for Peacock. It will be a co-production of Universal Television and Westbrook Studios. Jorge Reyes, the writer of series such as New York Undercover or Rescue 77, will be doing the script. The renowned singer and actress Becky G (Power Rangers, Good Mourning), is in negotiations to star in the production.

The series is Yeimi, a talented singer-songwriter who becomes famous worldwide and falls madly in love with the heir of a powerful family. But in her journey of becoming a star, dark secrets will put in jeopardy her romance, her family, and her future. It’s a mix of a dramatic plot of revenge in the style of The Count of Monte Cristo and urban music.

The executive producers are Reyes, Terence Carter, co-president and Head of Television at Westbrook Studios, David Boorstein; Lisette Osorio, Caracol Televisión; Tucker Tooley and Jay Weisleder, Tucker Tooley Entertainment; Eli Shibley, Major Content; and Paulette Bensussen and Darah Wagner Boaz, Wild Sheep Content.

The original version, first broadcast in 2018, became the most-watched production of the last 15 years on Colombian television. Its success crossed borders and was dubbed into English, French, and Portuguese, reaching more than 100 countries. It was nominated for and won the International Emmy Award in the category of Best Telenovela, becoming the first Emmy in Colombia.

La Reina del Flow starred by Carolina Ramírez, Carlos Torres, and Andrés Sandoval. Televisa produced its own version for the Mexican market called La Reina Soy Yo, starring Michelle Renaud.
