The only official market for the sale and promotion of Spanish cinema, Spanish Screenings Content, within the industry area of the Malaga Festival, MAFIZ, returns from 21 to 24, this time with public attendance, and with an expanded format and new content.
The market has the collaboration of the ICAA (Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts) and ICEX Spain Export and Investment and with the support of the industry; and thanks to the budget boost from the Government of Spain, it adopts a new format to become Spanish Screenings XXL. During the four days, the international professional community dedicated to purchases, sales, distribution, festival programming and production will have access to the latest in Spanish audiovisual production, both in theater screenings and on the spanishscreenings platform.online, the reference site for agents, national and international distributors and festival programmers, which has access since Thursday the 17th.
The new sections of Spanish Screenings Content are:
– Market Premieres with three private screenings of productions not released in any other international market, presented by Spanish sales companies.
– Remake Day: day designed to give a greater boost to the sale of remake rights.
– Spanish Copro Forum: five new fiction and non-fiction feature film projects seeking co-production.
– Animation Day developed with DIBOOS and Animation from Spain (ICEX initiative) in which news about the Spanish animation markets will be presented.
– Spain Colorful Diversity: a space in which the Autonomous Communities will be presenting their locations, filming support plans, tax advantages and incentives.
– Regional Film Hub, a new platform for the promotion and spreading the voice of the cinematography of the different Spanish communities.
– Book Showcase: through spanishscreeenings.online, a selection of 21 literary works will be available for adaptation to audiovisual format.
– Spain Scorecom: a selection of 18 emerging film music composers.
