Rosa Diamante is the first of three novelas produced under the newly-created alliance between Telemundo and Argos Communication. Both companies have announced advances on the project this past Friday June 15 during Telemundo’s forums in Mexico City. With this program, they intend to create a bridge between the Mexican market and the Hispanic market of the US.“This alliance is an opportunity to reach Mexicans in the US. Our task is to build a bridge between the two markets and it’s the obligation of the television to take them a bit of Mexico, tell them stories they know so they can smell their country,” said Epigmenio Ibarra, producer and general director of Argos TV. Ibarra also mentioned that the alliance with Telemundo includes until now three projects: Rosa Diamante, El Señor de los Cielos and La Patrona. “These projects will allow us to be players in the most important television markets in the world, and with this important emerging sector – the Hispanics. Building a bridge implies knowing how to tell stories so that Telemundo can grow”.Rosa diamante began filming in Mexico City under the direction of Miguel Varoni. Mauricio Ochmann, Begoña Narváez and Carla Hernández star in the program. The novela tells the story of an ambitious, womanizing, frivolous and hedonist character that endures radical changes in his life. Finally, Joshua Mintz, VP of Telemundo, said in short that the novela will air on Telemundo in the US and will also reach the Mexican screens.
