For the writer Leonardo Padrón, being a member of the PRODU Awards jury entails an honor and a commitment. The commitment is to be as fair and objective as possible in evaluating the work of the industry; and also an opportunity to value and endorse out loud last year’s contents that moved or surprised.
“PRODU Awards have been consolidating as a benchmark distinguishing the best television productions made in Latin America. I believe that the professional solvency and the diversity of the jury selected in each call endorse the seriousness of this award”, he commented.
He added that he continues to be amazed by the number of productions across Latin America, and as a jury, he feels obliged to -pleasantly, it is worth saying- to learn about the entire varied catalog of content made in barely a year.
“There is no doubt about the improvement of the quality of productions and also the exploration of genres and themes; all this increases my expectations. It is gratifying that creativity has an annual party to be recognized and supported,” he said.
Padrón is one of the +600 prestigious juries that began evaluating the entries in more than 90 categories. The awarding ceremony, broadcast on streaming, will take place on November 1 and 2 with +500 guests, homages, and big surprises.
