WXTV Univisión 41 local and network evening news broadcast wins race in NY among A18-34

WXTV Univisión 41’s Noticias Univisión 41 (Univisión 41 News), the New York tri-state area’s premier early newscast, weekdays at 6pm and Noticiero Univisión, (Univisión Network’s Evening News) weekdays at 6:30pm, ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 and 18-49, regardless of language, according to the October 2010 Nielsen Station Index (NSI) survey period. WXTV’s Noticias Univisión 41, on weekdays at 11pm, was the top ranked late-night newscast among Adults 18-34.WXTV Univisión 41 delivered a strong first place finish among Adults 18-34 and 18-49 viewers for Noticias Univisión 41 with anchor Rafael Pineda. Broadcast weekdays, 6-6:30pm, the show averaged 49,000 Adult 18-34 and 132,000 Adult 18-49 viewers.In the 6:30pm network news race, Noticiero Univisión, with Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas, won with 49,000 Adult 18-34 viewers and 142,000 Adult 18-49 viewers, while NBC Nightly News was second with 41,000 Adults 18-34. ABC World News ranked second with 106,000 Adult 18-49 viewers.Noticias Univisión 41 with anchor Rafael Pineda, broadcast weekdays from 11 to 11:30pm won the late news race among Adult 18-34 viewers with 50,000. Finishing second was CBS 2 News with 39,000.
