WXTV Univision 41 NY wins the Early Evening News race for eighth consecutive sweep

With one day to go of the November 2011 sweep, WXTV Univision 41’s Noticias Univision 41, the New York area’s premier evening Spanish-language newscast airing weekdays at 6pm, is No. 1 among Adults 18-49. In addition, Univision’s evening newscast Noticiero Univision airing weekdays at 6:30pm, is the No. 1 network news program in New York among Adults 18-49, according to the November 2011 sweep results to date. Since the April 2011 sweep, WXTV Univision 41 has ranked No. 1 in weekday news (6 to 7pm) among Adults 18-49, surpassing all newscasts during the hour, regardless of language. Anchored by Rafael Pineda and Adriana Vargas, Noticias Univision 41 weekdays at 6pm delivered a first place finish, averaging 107,000 Adult 18-49 viewers. WABC’s Eyewitness News came in second place delivering 97,000 Adults 18-49. In the 6:30pm network news race, Noticiero Univision with anchors Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas won with 122,000 Adult 18-49 viewers, while ABC World News finished in second with 99,000 Adults 18-49.
