Two months after relaunching its site, Zee Mundo, the Bollywood productions channel, launched on Friday, September 29, for the first time, a complete film on streaming before its broadcast on linear TV. It is titled Tanu y Manu Se Casan.
“The idea is for us to be able to offer people the possibility of watching and enjoying what a Bollywood product is, and for those who don’t have it, to ask their operator for it,” said Javier López, general manager of the channel.
The signal was launched in Latin America in April in markets like Mexico, Central America, Peru, Dominican Republica and it is also available in US Hispanic. It hasn´t reached Argentina yet, but López announced that it will in January and that they will soon arrive in Colombia.
He highlighted that acceptance of the signal has been very good and that the programming includes very high-quality drama, action, horror, children´s programs and programs for the whole family.
Also, since April, they launched two series: Jodha Akbar: Romance Real (100×60’), Monday evenings, and Begusarai: Tierra de Nadie (100×60’) Wednesday evenings, which have done very well. The rest of the week, they launch new movies.
All the signal´s programming is dubbed into Spanish. They work with dubbing companies in Argentina and in other countries in the region.
“Many people ask us if the films were shot in Spanish since our dubbing is so good,” ended López.
