Zee Mundo will be for the first time on Jornadas to present the content offered by Bollywood.
“We have already had meetings with some of the big Argentinean pay TV groups to introduce ourselves and begin generating relations. This market is one of the most traditional ones and the third in the world in seniority. Because of this and its size, it is a reference to Latin America. Additionally, according to the results of market research, our clients feel that Bollywood content would be very well accepted by the local market,” said Javier López, general manager.
He announced they are in conversations with local representatives to cater to the market because he thinks it is important to have a permanent presence in the region.
Regarding the business, López commented that the channel has 100% of the rights of its content on all the digital platforms. Therefore, the content can be exhibited via streaming or VOD. He mentioned that they are closing deals with several digital platforms in the region. Some have to do with pay TV companies and others only offer services via the Internet.
“I think the challenge is the adaptation to new forms to watch TV. The subscriber wants to see the content whenever he wants and wherever he wants without waiting and Zee Mundo is prepared for that” he informed.
On the other hand, they recently launched zeemundo.com, an interactive website that shows the content of the channel, biographies of the actors and actresses, synopsis of the content, musical videos, wallpapers and later they will have premieres for registered subscribers.
