Zeta Studios made its presence known at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), held from June 7th to 15th, by actively participating in content pitches. The company, known for its ongoing collaboration with Wattpad on adaptations targeting young adults, is constantly seeking fresh content to meet the evolving demands of the audiovisual market.
“We’ve been actively developing projects, some of which are nearing completion. We’ve secured options for several valuable literary properties that we’re currently adapting,” noted Marcelo Tamburri, International Director of Content at the Spanish production company Zeta Studios. “Our partnership with Wattpad has opened doors to a wealth of young adult stories with strong adaptation potential. These stories often come with a passionate and sizable fanbase, which is a significant advantage. We’re working to translate these stories into the audiovisual format, enhancing their narrative for maximum impact as films or series.”
Regarding how they search for new stories, the executive said: “We’ve significantly expanded our project selection process to offer a diverse slate of films, series, and documentaries to the market. This strategic approach considers the evolving needs of both streaming platforms and the film industry, particularly here in Mexico.”
“In the coming months, we’ll focus on finalizing marketing and production strategies to bring our products to market,” he concluded.
