Zut TV is a music channel for 14 to 24-year-old audiences on three screens: on the web they are on Zut.TV, as an app they are available on GooglePlay and on the Apple Store, and they are present in several regional channels in Venezuela.
Rómulo Guardia, CEO of Zut.tv and Wilfredo Pérez, Marketing Director of Zut.tv, are at Natpe seeking distribution on pay-TV in Latin America and US Hispanic. They are also having conversations with channels and stations to place loose programs.
“We are the only OTT that is streaming and on demand at the same time. We show the programming on screen and then you can look for programs at on demand. We have a social TV module where the audience can express their opinion on each one of the spaces and another of playlists that young people can use for their parties with music and videos,” explains Guardia.
Guardia has experience on Hispanic TV has been one of the founders of MTV Latino, he was Production and Postproduction Director at Discovery Networks for many years and was Development VP at RCTV. He has been a film director, as well. “What thrills me now is to make TV for my children.”
Zut.TV has been developed for the past five years and the channel already celebrated its second anniversary. “In this time, we specifically designed a modular system that allows us to produce the signal of the same library for TV, web, and mobile. The topic of having streaming, on-demand has been a huge challenge for it to operate perfectly worldwide,” adds Guardia.
