Antonio Mañueco, co-founder and CTO of BetaBlocks, is currently working on the architecture of a sovereign identity network that enables users to monetize data, behavior and comments driven only by consent, using the Hyperledger Indy and Hyperledger Fabric digitally distributed ledgers. Before the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Summit Miami on Oct.30, Mañueco said “the topic will be the intersection between digital identity and blockchain. It is important because it all starts with identity.” He then posed the question, “How do we interact and prove who we are in a digital world through our devices?” At the 2019 event, he was to meet with people and companies seeking to build the next wave of identification products in order to increase security and commercial value. Regarding the future of blockchain, he said he has barely started writing that chapter: “Most cases of blockchain use will not see the light of day for another decade or more. Identification is one that is currently being worked on.” Most careers nowadays require technical expertise, including “basic programming levels, understanding how systems communicate with each other, and the fragility and power of data from a technical perspective. In terms of technology, we’re talking about data processing, knowledge graphs, behavioral data science and probabilistic data modeling,” Mañueco said.
