Del 15 al 21 de junio se llevará a cabo el Festival de Cannes 2014
The 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity will see several changes to some of its Special Awards, which are based on an accumulation of points for shortlisted and prizewinning work. The Palme dOr, awarded to the best performing production company, will get some changes to make it more in line with other Special Awards. The calculation will continue to be based on a system of points assigned in the following way: 10 points for a Grand Prix, seven for a Gold Lion, five for a Silver Lion, three points for a Bronze Lion, and one point for having made the shortlist. Also among the changes is that production companies no longer need to have a minimum of 10 entries in the qualifying categories Film, Film Craft and Branded Content & Entertainment in order to be eligible to take home the Palme dOr.This prize will now take into account all the shortlisted and winning entries of production companies. In previous years, only the best 10 entries from each company were considered. Points for shortlisted entries will now be limited to 10, in line with current Agency of the Year rules. As is our usual process when introducing changes at Cannes Lions, we consult extensively with industry leaders to ensure that we continue to be relevant and reflect the changes that are happening in the business around the world says Terry Savage, chairman of Lions Festivals.
