The priority today is people´s health – that is how Carla Eboli, EVP at Energy BBDO, summarized the current focus of the advertising industry. “As much as I believe that awards are fundamental tools to foster innovation and recognize exceptional talent, right now we need to stay focused on what matters the most: our people. Holding companies and agencies are focused on – first and foremost – keeping our people healthy and safe; we are talking about a world health crises and our priority is to protect people’s lives. I’m glad the festival’s organization made that call,” she said about the cancellation of the 2020 Cannes Lions Festival. Agencies and holding companies are primarily focused on keeping their teams safe. “We are also all working together with our clients trying to figure out what will be the new normal.
